My Mom has a St. Jude's pacemaker (replaced in 2014). The new transmitter box is a pain. It was working fine until we updated our internet service (Comcast Xfinity). After spending countless hours on the telephone with technical support, it has been determined that it is not compatible with transmitter. Get with the times Merlin! I'd hate to have to "down grade" to my old internet service. Any suggestions?

Is it 2.4Ghz?

I don't use monitoring myself, but we recently upgraded our wifi modem, and got one with two bands: 5.4Ghz, and the older format 2.4. Our printer can only work on 2.4 Ghz, so we have to switch whenever we print.
Newer modems are generally made with both bands: is it possible that the Merlin needs 2.4Ghz? Ideally, you should be able to connect it to that wifi band, even if your other devices are on the 5.4.
I have found, generally, that the comcast technical support folk aren't very knowledgable and work strictly from their script of standard protocols. However, I'd check for sure about the dual-band issue. If you are using their modem as a combined modem/router, make sure it will handle both bands. If you are only using their modem, and then using your own wifi router, you may need to do the same thing.
