So I had my pacemaker implanted yesterday, and they lost the little temporary card they were supposed to send me home with. It was supposed to be sent back to my room with me, and it was never found. Does anyone know if this is particularly important? I'm not flying any time soon, but should I ask my doctor of he can find me another one? How long does it take for the actual card to arrive?

I received a card from Boston Scientific about ten days after my implant.
Thank you!

Thank you for the replies, I feel much better now. I think I was mostly worried because my nurses seemed really bothered about losing it, but I think they were just afraid of my doctor hahaha. I have a boston scientific, so hopefully it won't be too long! I'm definitely going to get some jewelry with the details engraved as well, better safe than sorry.

I've needed to show my card a number of times for security reasons in some high profile buildings, ships, etc. and have taken a pat down instead of going through the magnetometer.
It may depend where you live or visit.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
