I was wondering if I could get any feedback or information on a problem I'm experiencing with my pacer. I'm having really weird sensations on the left side of my body which is the side where my device is. It feels like the left side is tingling really bad then my heart rate feels like it is getting weak and I get very very light headed as though I'm going to pass out. Then my heart will start beating really fast. When my dr put my pacer in he ablated my AV node and I have a demand pacer. But, the thing that is really scary is that it get so bad to the point I feel like I'm going to just pass out. The tingling goes up into my face also but just on the left side. It feels as though one of my wires may be frayed or gone bad. If anyone can let me know if they have experienced anything similar and if U have what did your dr say was going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My wires have been in for almost 15 years and my pacer almost 9 yrs. I spoke with a rep at Medtronic and he seem to think I may need everything replaced. Thanx in advance for any help.

My whole problem started with me feeling weak and like I was going to pass out, which is what made me go to the Cardiologist. If I had not gone to see him, I do not want to think of what would have happened.Your Pacer may not be working. You need it checked out.
It may need changing but

Without seeing your doctor you will not know. From what I understand your pacemaker is telling you to have it checked. Like right now. If your pacemaker is working properly you should never feel like passing out.
Do yourself a favor go to the office and sit till you get seen. They will have to see you.
You know you're wired when...
Youre officially battery-operated.

Ignore the Medtronic rep and go get checked out by a medical professional! It drives me crazy to see people in distress asking for help on a forum, of all things, especially someone with your experience. Please go get help.
