recently implanted pacemaer

I had a St.Jude pacemaker implanted a week ago today, started casually walking but will probably take it easy for 5-6 weeks.
My hope is to get back into kayaking. I am a touring kayaker and not a whitewater kayaker. I have read the caution re. kayaking but I can adjust my paddeling to avoid a lot of overhead motions.
