I am 8 days post op pacer insertion, now moving my l arm around more, below my shoulder.
I have an occasional sharp twinge that runs from the top of my L wrist to the base of my thumb, with some associated numbness.
Am assuming it is some (?radial) nerve issue, and will see the surgeon next week.
Have other people had the same issue, and how long till it resolved.

Had crt in now 15 days. Check up 2 days ago showed Dr place where pain in arm. He did not like sent me for ultrasound. Unfortunately they found blood clot in upper arm and clot where wires were inserted. Started immediately on blood thinner and heat pad to try dissolve. Better get checked Dr said they were common. Good luck.

All sorts of feelings

You get all sorts of feelings post PM insertion. Mostly it's due to swelling and your body adjusting to the foreign object.
Another thing is where the leads go into the body under your collar bone. Your brain has a hard time interpreting the new sensations coming from that area because you've never had anything foreign in that area before. I'd get a pain going up into my left jaw - it went away after a few weeks.
I also went through a time where the swelling went down and it looked like my PM was sticking out more than it had previously. Not to worry. Some days it looks like it's sticking out, other days you wouldn't know except for the scar.
Some people on the forum say they don't feel their PM after a while. I almost always know it's there. Some days I forget but mostly I'm aware of it. Maybe because I'm so active and I keep pushing and pinching it.
In the meantime, drinking water to keep yourself hydrated and taking tylenol helps.
Hang in there. Life does get better.
