Merlin transmitter

My grandmother has a St Jude pacer, Merlin at home transmitter. She is in a nursing home, they are telling me we can't set this up, because to many phones lines in the building, even though she has her own phone. Is that true ?

If she is in a skilled care facility, they should be able to check it as needed so it's probably no longer necessary. Check with her doctor.

Sneak in and do it. If she was at home, you'd do it. They cant tell you no, tell MD. They won't know you're doing it unless she has a heart monitor on. Especially if she has her own phone number. The days of a party line went out in the 80's. Or have them make an appointment at her cardiologist for every six months. It's supposed to be checked every six months anyway.

You know you're wired when...

You’re officially battery-operated.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
