I seen a message or quote the other day
the person mentioned something about
fine tuning .
when you say that , did they adjust your heart rate ,
when I went down my heart was only beating
40 beats per minute, now it's set at 60.
my question is , what else can they adjust ?

At your 6th month check up, they can adjust heat rate, how much energy you need, all sorts of things...some pacers even help the heart beat faster if your oxygen gets too low...I paced 600,000 beats in six month when programmed (fine tunes) for heart rate of sixty...now it is 50 and I barely pace at all...I have a demand paced program...it only paces if I need it...plus I'm on different med...meds that lowered my heart rate...and some people have to have continuous pacing...I can pace all day then nothing for months.

yea my pace maker adapts to what ever , I do
I had my pace maker*(4 wheel drive unit*) installed 2years Nov. 8th 2012 . I used to work up in Prudhoe Bay
Alaska, I worked 84 to 90 hour Weeks , I worked ,2 and 2s
I took 2 months off , to let the stitches heal .
My first 2 months back were okay , then I started sweating shaking, my hands and feet started swelling up, I used to
weigh 268 I lost 68 lbs , I wasn't even trying , I gained 22lbs , back after I had PCMAKER put in , how ever though
in July of this year on my last hitch I lost 22lbs in one week , that scared everybody , including me .
and about 1 month earlier , I experienced a syncope
without collapsing, I couldn't remember anything , so I
didn't find out until the next day, that's when I found out
that I was bright red , and covered in sweat head to toe.
that's when I decided to transfer to shore , I didn't want people to worry about me anymore.
I've had so many blood tests done ,
my blood sugar is a little high, there checking my thyroid
out now , everything else seems to be okay .
I asked Medtronic if it was possible to have syncope with out collapsing , and they it was possible to happen ,and they said it would show up on my device checkup,
here comes that but, but if it didn't that means my BP
would have something to do with it , I just woke up to go to the restroom at 9:00 pm . so I know my BP was low ,
on my last hitch , I was using a carpet cleaner ,and that's
a very slow job, slow enough to where I started to nod of while I was standing up , that was for like 2 to 3 seconds
that kinda scared me , I'm glad I wasn't behind the wheel of a car
you know I told my cardiologist about this , and he gave one of those yea right looks , I'm about ready to get new
one . I forgot to mention I also get winded really easy
I got laid off from a job I for 9 years because of all this crap , so I ain't really happy.
when I was sick I was only getting 4 hours of sleep a night
now I'm getting about 7 hours of sleep .
that's the only good thing about this PCMAKER , other than that I'm alive ,
thanks for the information , I truly appreciate it !!!!!! : )
