I have a question. I am concerned about rides that use the strong magnets. We are going to Disney World in Florida in a month and I was wondering if there were any rides there that have caused interference with pacemakers. I have a Medtronic Versa DR Pacemaker and have had it for 15 months with no problems. Thanks in advance for any information that you might have.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.

....the fact that Disneyworld would be great were it not for all those darned kids running around!
That being said - I'll further attest to the safety & non-interference of all but "Thunder Mountain" & the "Space Mountain" coasters. We have ridden the Maglev drive 'Old Man's Coaster" that runs very slowly & totally flat. It is a linear motor centered under the cars. Humongous electro magnets - no effect. Don't run into any evil monsters wearing black capes who kidnap fair maidens & tie them to the tracks, however. THAT just might cause you problems!
You just HAVE to ride "Buzz Lightyear's" space adventure. EVERYONE gets their picture taken shooting space aliens.
BTW: If you haven't ridden it, "It's a Small World" will effectively infect you w/ a song you cannot ever forget - in no less than SIX languages. Ranks right up there w/ "Do You Want to Build a Snowman."
