Just completed my first cycling class since i had my pm implanted. What a great work out ! I had my procedure the end of October. I feel so great now, and ready to get rid of those extra pounds i gained when i was feeling so terrible. So glad i made the decision to get the pm. It has changed so many things for the better :) so glad to have input from others here when i first had the procedure done.

Cycle Question

How many weeks after the surgery did you take this cycle class? Did you work out in slowly with other workouts prior to this class??
Curious if you felt anything with the PM during the class.
I rode a recumbent today and just pushed my heart rate up to 130 at the very end of the ride and felt a huge "thump". but my heart rate did not plummet like it did prior to my procedure
I am actually a cycle instructor and have no idea when I might be ready to lead a class again. (only a week in the PM ownership).
Happy for you and some what jealous , hope to feel the same soon!

Hi! I waited until about 6 weeks. I was off all restrictions, my device nurse said no kettle bells for 2 weeks. I just took my second cycling class tonight. It was great. I'm going to the gym 4 times a week. Step, cycling, cardio kick-boxing(with heavy bags) and then cardio kick (without bags). If I feel like I'm doing too my with my shoulder, I just modify to my comfort level. Talk to your dr. Mine said I can pretty much do what I want now. It's nice to have the energy to do it!!! Good luck!
You know you're wired when...
You have a new body part.
