I've had a pacemaker for about 3 months and everything seems fine. I woke up this morning to it itching a bit and noticed it felt much different than normally. At first it felt like the edges were sharper than I have ever noticed. Later in the day it was itching again and started to feel a little discomfort. Not bad but different. I now have noticed that it has some bruising around the area that now feels a bit sharper. I also now feel a lump on top by that same edge. Maybe it in my head but it feels like a wire laying across it. near the edge that feels different. Something has changed in the last 24 hours and its a different shape. It is not comfortable anymore. It itches and is tender with some kind of hard lump that feels like a wire. But I don't think the wires are that big and it runs along the edge. It steps down from the highest point it steps down to a smooth end. Not sure if this makes any sense. Hope so and what should I do

I have had my implant for 3 months now and it drives me crazy. It protrudes out on the left side and itches like crazy. I thought I could feel the wires also but I think it really is a blood vessel. I go to Dr Tuesday because my monitor sent some concerning info. I will ask if this discomfort is normal.
Best of luck

If it were me, I would call doctor immediately. Nothing you have described is normal, I don't think, and is always better safe than sorry. Be sure and let us know how you are doing.
