..........................try going to the very TOP RIGHT of the title page and punch in WEIGHTS into the 'Search' facility...this will give you a massive data base on your topic....
It is still good to get some 'first hand / fresh ' info from members though..because that's where you get to feel the support/info first hand.
I am an alleged runner,... and waited until my Tecchie said that it was ok to run..
Six weeks seems to be the standard period to be seen as the 'all clear' period...but this is by no means a given..

Run/Jog/Power Walk...check out the big green spaces round your home...you get to keep your CV in shape and get to see new places.
You might have a look at Nordic Pole Walking...done properly this uses about 80% of your total musculature and uses masses of upper-body stuff without the , dreaded ..LIFT.

In an ideal world , a device should not prevent/restrict your activities..quite the opposite,...it should enhance them.

Ask the dr, not the nurse. If the dr tells you no, then ask specifically why not. Without knowing more about your age and why you have the pm, it's hard to say if it's ok or not but most of us who do not have other health problems do not have restrictions on weights after the healing period.

I have PM and just had a battery change 2 weeks ago.
I asked my nurse today at the check up, when I can start doing my workouts.. she recommended that I wait 2 more weeks. I could do leg work and some running, and very light weights.
But when I start for full again, she said to take it easy and work my self up.
When I am at the Gym I do lift weights. Dont have any restrictions at all. And the PM nurses and doctors say that its ok. as for any sport and workout.. everything must be done in moderation. And what your body can cope with.
Just start easy and work your self up. :-) But if you just got your PM wait atleast a month before taking of..

Your question depends upon 1) how long you've had your PM, 2) your age, 3) previous experience. You don't give us when you got your PM in your bio or your question. You don't tell us what kind of exercise regimen you've been doing previously. All factor into how your question is answered.
If you've had your PM less than 4-6 weeks the answer is no weights. Nothing over 4.5 kilograms.
After that is experience. If you've been lifting weights before getting the PM, then that determines future workouts.
Age. Depending on how young or old that can determine what kind of exercise regimen you follow.
Without any additional information I'd have to go with what your heart nurse says for now.
