Noise

I'll take the ribbing...I sleep sometimes with my ear on my upper left arm...I guess they are dreams, but on more than one occasion, I have been woke up because it sounded that a television had been left on downstairs. The first time it happened, I went through the house checking all tv's...What I heard, or dreamed seemed as though a conversation between 2 people.
Like I say, it has happened twice, so I guess I should be glad those little voices in my head aren't telling me to KILL, KILL, KILL......LOL......Thanks for the input.

Simple answer is NO. When we speak of noise I believe it is a little like interferance. Some of the other members would have the specifics.

I'll give you a very definite ...

.....who knows? as an answer.

Pardon the waffle, but harkening back to the days of things called "Crystal sets" as the rudimentary radio, I can conceptualize a situation where your PM & its leads could act as an impromptu crystal set.

I have read of people asking that question about the mattress or box spring in their bed. After people who knew about things electronic scoffed at her, they finally came to her house to look at the bed & sho' 'nuf, there it was - very weak, but faintly audible & recognizable as a human voice. All it took was a spot of rust at the junction of two wires to act as a semi-conductor diode & a sounding board to amplify the sound.

So, I will not scoff at you.

I can conceive of your lead acting as a antenna & something at the threaded junction of your lead to the PM acting as a semiconductor diode; the case could be the sounding board that amplifies the sound & you sense it somehow as intelligent noise. I'd still have to see/hear it to truly believe it, BUT, I would not dismiss it out of hand as happening.

You may have butter & real maple syrup with my waffle at no extra charge.

I'll take TWO...

...one for my Cardiac PM & one for my Wife's bladder PM that's implanted in her butt. Maybe we can communicate w/ one another better than by cell phone. She keeps forgetting to throw the Cell in her purse before we leave. At least she never forgets her butt!

Pop, please don't scoff, you might be proven wrong.

Just don't sign on as an accident investigator for the NTSB.
Many of the causes they find are just this implausible.

The mattress I mentioned only produced sound loud enough to be faintly audible if your ear was right next to it.

You were dreaming - or there was a party in the house that you did not know about.

I apparently had one of those last night about 10 min after crawling into bed & dropping off to sleep. Thought I heard gunshot & awoke w/ a start & grabbed the shotgun leaning against the wall at the head of the bed. Wife awoke & asked me what was going on - she said "You're dreaming - go back to sleep. Dogs lifted their heads, looked at me funny & put them back down & went back to sleep.

Hmmmmm!
