Hey guys. I am new here. I received my first pacemaker at 14 years and my second in 2010. So I have had this one for 4 years now. I havent had many complications with it and I hardly use it because it is set for when my heart rate is 30 bpm. The last two days I have felt super weak and some sort of strain (for lack of a better descriptive word) near where my implant is. However, I haven't done anyting to strain it. Any advice? I am sending in a phone check but I don't know the seriousness of the symptoms. Some times my heart rate feels super low but when I check it, it is normal. I have been eating and sleeping so It is nothing else going on. I have never felt this way except for when I had my first implant. help please :)

Explain this to your cardiologist

Welcome to the club!! I just read your post and honestly, maybe you should discuss your symptoms with your cardiologist. If your feeling weak and its alarming you cause its different than you feel typically, i would make a quick appointment and see what the cardio says and suggests. In regards to the feeling of strain, it sometimes happens to me as well. I have come to the conclusion that when i sleep and tilt from side to side, im probably putting pressure on it unconsciously, thus provoking that achy feeling the next day... he may send out for a simple ex- ray to make sure your device is stable and in its place and maybe he'll send you to have some blood work done just to make sure all is ok. Hope you find answers and are feeling better in no time :) Best Wishes,
Kaity
