Does anyone have problems with pacemaker when seatbelt is on. I have large padding on my seatbelt and I still have heart problems when my seatbelt is touching my pm 2210 pacemaker.

I use safetouch protector on set belt when I drive. Belt does not touch PM with this device. I leave on seat belt and when my husband drives he just slides device down out of his way. Trish

Very strange ! There are many well-known triggers which can set off an irregular heart beat e.g alcohol, caffeine, exercise , stress ( It's not your wife's driving is it ? ) but I can't think why a seat belt rubbing against a pacemaker could cause this.
If one of your PM settings is to have Rate Response switched on, it is possible that , on a bad road surface, the movement of the seat belt against the PM could persuade your PM to put in extra beats but this would lead to a faster heart rate rather than an irregular one.
I look forward to anyone coming up with a creative explanation for your problem

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.

What do you mean by "heart problems " ? Do you just mean local discomfort from the contact of the seat belt on the pacemaker site or do you mean more than that ?
