Warm Sensation

I have a Boston Scientific pacemaker and at times have a warm sensation around the unit. Is this normal? I have had the unit since August, 2014.

My husband had a Boston Scientific pacemaker implant in Jan 2014. I asked him if he ever felt anything and he said no. He wears suspenders and the strap sometimes rubs it, but nothing to do with the PM. I think if it bothers you, contact your Dr or the pacemaker lab and talk to a tech there. Hope this helps a little bit.

I to had this feeling yesterday two separate times. Not sure but it felt like I had a hot plate in my chest. Burning pretty bad. This was a little frighting. Maybe someone will let us know. I have a St Jude Implantable pacemaker & defibrillator. Place in April 2014, this is the first time I have experienced this.

Mine was not a burning sensation but you could feel the heat from the unit on the outside of my skin. I have had it happen several times. I do not have a defibrillator. I have an appointment with my doctor the end of the month and will ask him about it.

I have had my St Jude pacemaker since December 2014. The last couple of days my skin around the pacemaker feels warm/hot. I feel fine other wise. I have been working/ painting a bedroom (ceiling and walls) Should I be concerned?
