AV node ablation, specialist agreed it would be the best way to proceed . Combination of damage to node due to previous procedure which left me with a long QRS which is part of the problem in getting my PM settings balanced, getting PM tachycardia most of the time due to a retrograde re-entry pathway (think I got that right). He can't promise I will be totally free of problems but believes I will be a lot better. So we now wait for the next appointment . I tried to draw him as to how unwell you feel but he wasn't too forth coming, as I would not wish my last few years on anyone.
A thank you to all here once again as the info I've gained here would have been difficult to obtain from Drs etc.
Onward and up ward

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
