The stomach flu has been going around the family and I am it's latest victim.
I got my pacer on the 6th and I am worried that the vomiting may have impacted the pacer placement. I plan to call my doc tomorrow but I didn't know if maybe someone had any advice/experience with this.

I am lucky, painkillers don't upset my stomach pretty much at all, neither do the anesthetics. I was worried that the position of hunched over the toilet would make something pull.
But thank you.

Nothing about a stomach flu should impact the pacer once you get past the first day or two. Ice the incision if it's extra sore. If the vomiting is really bad and doesn't get better within a day, they can give you phenergan to ease the nausea but usually these bugs go away as quickly as they come on. Stay hydrated!
I had a reaction to the pain meds they gave me in the hospital after my first pm surgery, was sick enough (mostly vomiting) that they kept me an extra two days. Not a fun time to be so sick, but leads and pacer were both fine. They gave me something different after my second pacer surgery, I reacted to that, too, so I can say with confidence that puking after a replacement is much better than puking after the first placement when the leads are new. Now I say no thanks to anything stronger than advil :)
