Hi All,
I am 65 years old.
I had a quadruple bypass about 11 years ago. I got a St Judes defibulator(never used:-)). 3 years ago it was replaced.
My injection fraction had been around 36 before the operation. After the operation I had built it up to around 46, when suddenly it collapsed.Mentally it was shocking, but I still felt pretty good.
I play a lot of tennis with guys half my age at mid B level.
Unfortunately the left side of my heart was weakening and a crt-d replaced my defibulator.
I am now back on the courts after a 4 week layoff and am doing great.
It is hot here in Atlanta, but I have no problem getting through 3 to 5 sets of tennis a few times a week.
I am feeling pretty good and hope it continues.
Thanks for listening:-).

I don't know my EF now.
I will be going to my Cardiologist for an echo in mid September and will find out then,
You know you're wired when...
You can proudly say youre energy efficient.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
