Pain under skin

I had my pacemaker put in May 2015. Since then one area is VERY sensitive to touch. It even hurts just to rest my finger on it with no pressure.
I have told my Dr. several times and he is not taking me seriously. The last visit he told me to "suck it up"
I haven't had many surgeries and I have a pretty high pain tolerance but I know something isn't right.
Any ides would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Judy

I had mine now for 13 weeks... at about 10 weeks I could push lightly on it .. no pain.
I still protect it from the shower for some reason....

I always know its there and can feel it... sometimes have some pain when I move... but no pain from just touching it?
Infection?
good luck.... maybe another Dr.?

Pain surrounding PM

I've had similar experience re pain and basically given the brushoff by Dr. B who did the implant in Mar. 2015. So I asked my GP to refer me to a specialist in another city. Dr. C-S explained that scar tissue was building in that area which the body does as a protective mechanism to any foreign object. He also told me not to touch it (rub) and to take a motrin (I was taking Aleve) for pain. Dr. B's tech told me to put lidocaine to numb the area so all along I was touching it. Wrong! Dr. C-S also said shower water is okay but do not rub area and when moving, make no strong sharp movements with your left arm. Gently, extend your reach so as not to tear new scar tissue; however, if you have a fever it could mean infection and you do need to see the doc asap. I hope this helps. I have had to make adjustment on moving, lifting, etc. and can't wait for it to be totally well so I can wear a bra again. :-) Good Luck.
