From my understanding there is no problem with using a Fitbit with my pm. However, my question is specifically with the Charge HR which tracks heart rate as well as tracking other entities. I am not sure of the technology involved in capturing the heart rate and wondered if there is any interference or potential for problems between this device and my pm. I suppose I should call Fitbit as well as my EP's office but wondered if anyone else has looked into this! Just don't want to mess up my pm! Thanks.

I am 100% paced and wear a Fitbit ChargeHR. Like the previous reply, I have no issues. The ChargeHR monitors heart rate optically and I find its accuracy questionable. It somehow measures flow past the diodes? When cycling, I usually have a Garmin chest belt on, which I find quite accurate. About 75% of the time, the Fitbit indicates the same as the belt +/- 4bpm. The other 25% is unpredictable.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.

Does anyone with a Fitbit Charge HR know how accurate they are for tracking heart rates? For capturing number of steps?
The information suggests that the also follow sleep patterns. If anyone has time to explain how that works, I would certainly be interested. I hate invest so much on something unless there is a likelihood of it working for me to follow exercise and heart rate. Maybe they are little more than fancy toys?
Thanking you in advance,
