I'm a 64 year old male. I have an AV block with a dual lead PM. Was diagnosed with low ejection fraction and was told I might need a third lead. Does that make sense?

A CRT-D or CRT-P causes the left and right vertical to beat at the same time which causes more output if they are out of sync. My EF went from the low 30s back to normal in the 50s after my PM was upgraded 4 years a go.
Good Luck

EF can drop, from age and/or years of pacing. The dual lead increases our heart rate. The third lead forces the ventricles to beat in sync which can help EF. How low is it, and does it affect your energy level yet? If it's just a little drop and/or you still feel fine and can do what you want to do, then I'd probably want to wait rather than jump right into the CRT.
