sudden pain

hello everyone,

my friend has a pacemaker today she suddenly had a sharp pain in her left side of chest and was facing problems to breathe .
what is the reason for this?
does she need to take any precautions?
what can be the cause of this sudden pain?

There is a chance that they may have punctured her lung. This happened to me but was minor and after a night back in hospital to check on things it cleared up on its own. However it can be more serious so she is best to 'phone in to be on the safe side.

I had sharp pain following pacemaker number 5s implant that included new leads being placed. The reason was pericarditis. For some reason my heart decided it wasn't happy! Made the recovery not to much fun. But the dr gave me some anti inflammatory meds and it helped.

BUT make sure your friend sees their dr!!!
