By my current age of 76 I have fifty plus marathons and recently received a biventricular PM for a LBBB and a excise induced 2:1 av block.
Question - any one with experience with a CRT who has been able to run a half marathon ?

I find posts like yours very encouraging especially when I'm moping around worrying about my "conditions". Good luck with your new device.

Tracey, the CRT is because fox30 has a LBBB (left bundle branch block) which causes the delay between right and left ventricle pumping to increase which in turn leads to a dissynchrony.
Fox30, like Tracey said, if it's "only" AV-block and LBBB, the pacemaker fixes your problems and you should be as good as new. When you have sinus node issues, the pacemaker's rate response sensor comes in, and that is not as good as a working sinus node, so you'd have to compromise a bit more. But as long as your sinus node works well, it will dictate the pace just as it did before you got the pacemaker. You will have a perfectly normal rate response, not a technologically driven one.
Good luck!

crt vs 2 lead

We have quite a few runners, some who have done marathons and triathlons. Your underlying condition will determine what you can do, not your device. Av block is basically fixed once we are paced so theoretically you're good as new and should be able to do what you want. Why did you get CRT instead of a 2 lead device? Seems like overkill for just av block, wondering if something else is going on, also. CRT means the pacer is keeping your left and right ventricles in sync in addition to synchronizing with the atria. If your EF has dropped. this can help bring it back up again. AV block doesn't generally cause that, but the things that do cause it might make it more challenging to run.
