Has anyone had experience with weight training ( eg bench presses, barbell curls, chins etc) after a pectoral muscle implantation This is, of course, after everything seems to be healed. The pectoral muscles seems to be used for just about any arm or shoulder exercise and will the pacemaker be a risk with vigorous contraction of the muscle?

Mine is above the pectoral. I had been doing 275-300 push-ups, dumbell arm curls, crunches, etc. every morning for years. So not all weights, but exercises with lots of reps without a problem.

Sub pectoral PM. It took a few months to fully get back into it, and the chest certainly ached a bit at times. Like Tracey, I do CrossFit, and I've not been limited by the PM in any weightlifting or gymnastic movement. I'm only limited by skills and strength!

Pacemaker for a little over 1 yr . On the bench I am staying at 275 X 5 for now . I did a burned out set with 225 to exhaustion maybe 15 reps . That was stupid . Last rep felt like it gonna pop out . Suprisingly I do sets of 225 X5 on the incline with no issues so far . Working my way to 295 x 5 maybe 315 X5 . Cant see myself pushing much more than that . Risk doesn't merit the reward . At least not for me now. I have read some guys Inclining 405 . For me I can that ccausing problems . Gues I am a baby

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.

Mine is under the pectoral. I've been doing Crossfit for 4+ years, do not hold back, no issues. You don't want the bar directly on your device or leads, and pull back if something doesn't feel right. Other than that, go for it.
