Nerve damage from pacemaker

Had pacemaker put in Sept 28 2015. Experiencing arm and hand tremors. Also waking up in the middle of the night with the feeling of an electric current going down my left arm and hand. Could this be nerve damage?

Pinched nerve

Don't know about a damaged nerve, but it sounds like you pinched it. Question in my mind is how and when it happens? Does it happen after you've slept on your left side?

I had a lot of trauma before getting my PM. So it took me a long time to get back to "normal". At five months I started thinking about doing "normal" things. At seven months I finally felt good enough to start.

Along with that it took me over a year before I was able to sleep on my left side. At the two year mark I could sleep on my left side but only if I used a pillow on my shoulder and only for short periods of time.

During the time it took me to get back to "normal", I would have all sorts of feelings including the "pinched" nerve feeling.

I also took physical therapy in addition to cardio rehab. That helped with the soreness. Have you tried physical therapy?

You don't mention if you've used hot or cold compresses along with tylenol. And, are you hydrating enough? It does take some of us longer to start feeling better.

Hope you get some relief soon.

maybe?

Talk to your dr, anything is possible. They may prescribe some therapy. It's probably not damage so much as healing that might need a nudge.

You know you're wired when...

You can finally prove that you have a heart.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
