I have had a pacemaker for 7 days so very new to the experience. I had my stitches out today and am feeling very good, if a little tired. I am starting to wonder when it will be advisable to go back to gym. I don't do much except walk and break into a jog every now and then, anyway.

I was out walking the day I got home. As long as you're cleared for activity, and if a slow heart rate was the only thing wrong then you likely are clear now, go for it. When in doubt, call your dr and ask. Just start slowly and ease back into it. You'll want to wait a bit longer before trying anything with impact, and give it 4-6 weeks before you lift anything heavy or raise your arm above shoulder level. If it doesn't feel right or you end up sore, back off and try again in a few days. Just use common sense, listen to your body.

To tell you the truth I never even give it a second thought. While growing up it never stopped me from doing anything and to this day my girlfriend or my kids need to remind me that I have one!

Your doctor should give you the ok. Most likely you can resume normal activity in a few weeks. Just no weight lifting...
