After reflecting on member advice and being urged by my anxious wife I decided to skip the 4 mile run this morning. There are more coming next month. Thanks for taking the time to give me the benefit of your experience.

We are all different , I really didn't have any soreness in the pacemaker pocket , hope you don't either.
I think you ( and your wife ) made the right decision ; you can't use her as an excuse next month though !
Best wishes
Ian

Forget all these things acc if you have already skip the run then what is the point of discussing it actually? Its OK. No need to explain it. I have a news for you there is an upcoming triathlon i;e New York Triathlon Expo which is going to start from 19th march 2016at citi fields New York.If you are missing that skipped run then not to worry you can join there, I am also going there and one more thing you can get the details of the event from http://nytriexpo.com/ .Not necessary that you have to go through this particular site, I found it very informative thatâs why i recommended it to you.

Yesterday I moved to a new place in my mind and realized how bad I felt 'before' and the difference my pacemaker has made.
You really get sore

When you first go back to normal athletic or strenuous activity the pacemaker pocket can get really sore. Mine felt like I had a silver dollar in there with jagged edges. Then there was stretching of the scar tissue which hurt too.
Just take it easy until everything heals. I'm sure you'll get back to running as much as you did before.
Hope everything else goes well for you.
