Fitbit HR

Anyone know of an exercise wristband like Fitbit that will not interfere with Pacemaker? Thank you.

safe, yes

Accurate, probably not. Monitors don't interfere with pacers, but pacers have been known to interfere with monitors so don't depend on it.

I am not aware of any of the monitors having any negative impact on your PM. I think that they are all safe!

I love my Fitbit HR

I know the heart rate is probably not super accurate but every time I have my blood pressure checked and they do my heart rate it has always matched my Fitbit HR within 2 bpm. My friend (no pacemaker) wears a Jawbone and we will start/stop them at the same times and they are usually pretty close.

Wear one everyday

I have been wearing the Surge model everyday for about nine months. No issues at all. When I sleep I typically lay my arm on my chest which puts the Surge almost directly overtop of my ICD. Still no issues.

As Valley01 said, the heart rate monitor may not be extremely accurate during heavy exercise, but I have found it more than sufficient for my needs. I walk for exercise and track my HR. If I let it get too high I get sick.

My doc says no problem

I have a Fitbit charge HR. After I bought it I was wondering about any issues. I had a follow up appointment with my EP and he said there is no problem wearing a Fitbit. (He was wearing one!)

I'm not sure how accurate the HR function is but overall am happy with the device.

I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
