Have he tried using a wedge pillow at night ? I was told to use one when I first found out about my condition, and I still use it as I have bad allergies
I think my husband has benefited the most from the wedge , as he says I no longer SNORE...I don't snore !!! LOL

It sounds like your Dad may have some depression that may be associated with the pacemaker. It happens sometimes, because it is such a life changing event that it can suddenly make people aware of their mortality. He needs to talk to someone about it. Hopefully he will talk to his doctor. He should feel better now than he did before the pacemaker. If he doesn't, his doctor needs to know so that he can make any adjustments that may be necessary.
Please don't hesitate to post here again if we can provide any info that may be helpful.
Sincerely,
David

well the reason i posted on here and not him is that he doesnt use a computer doesnt even know how to turn it on. and yes he has asked his doctor several times they just say it has nothing to do with the pacemaker. and if he has allerges its funny he hasnt have them for 80 years and now he does. i have asked him about how he feels now that he has the pacemaker. he says he cant tell any differents except he cant breath at night and he cant sleep. but as far as feeling better NO. thanks for the info

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
One problem masks another

Sorry to hear about your dad's situation. Is there a reason why you contacted us versus him?
After getting a pacemaker there can be a period of adjustment. Sometimes the pacemaker needs to be tweaked to make it work effectively with the individual. Is your dad talking with his doctor or is he just complaining.
Sometimes one problem masks another. Post pacemaker they found I had another medical problem. When you say your dad can't breath and nose stops up it sounds like he may be having problems with allergies or sleep apnea. Has he had that checked out.
Ultimately we are responsible for our own health. I understand your concern but if your dad doesn't want any help, there isn't too much you can do about it.
Hope your dad can get some help.
