medtronic lead class action

Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted in a very long time - since my husband passed away in June (he had a medtronic ICD). My son had been urging me to look into the defective lead lawsuit and for whatever reason I didn't - until last night when I did a search and discovered that the lead in my husband's ICD is one of the #'s that came up as defective. His ICD caused him all kinds of problems and discomfort and he kept saying he felt like there was something wrong with it. Does anyone know how to get in on the class action suit? Do I just wait until I get something in the mail or is there some way to sign up? I understand that if I contact a lawyer (& there have been plenty advertising on tv) that they get 1/3 of whatever the settlement may be plus any "expenses". Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Kathy

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
