pauses post box change

I am 4 weeks post box change and a new lead had to be fitted, I am feeling the dreaded pauses I used to feel before the pacemaker was fitted. Does this mean the lead is not in the right place? my check up is in 2 weeks time but getting a bit worried....thanks in anticipation.

Ask to be seen

It is likely that you just need an adjustment. However, you shouldn't sit around and worry for the next 2 weeks, so just call the doc and tell them you need to be seen ASAP. Just tell them you think something is wrong (that you don't feel well).

As I said, it is unlikely there is a problem with the lead, but for your piece of mind you should go get checked ASAP.................

Wishing you the best!

thanks for the advice gooddog, was seen in clinic today and was told the pm is working as it should be although I wasn't experiencing pauses at the time. I requested a 24 hour tape to try and catch what is happening, but was told this wasn't neccesary and to go to A&E if it happens again....great I so don't want to do that.

insist on a 24 hour monitor. It's your right. It's your body not theirs. If it puts your mind at ease then your feel much better rather than dashing off to a and e and they send you home again.  If it's your second pm make sure all your originally settings were put in. Get copies of them
