I'm 1 week post AV node ablation and honestly feel no different, HR in the 90's quite a lot of the time and when out for a walk (flat) still got the tight chest/ throat.
Hve tried to get in touch with Consultants but no luck yet, should have an appointment in 3-4 weeks time, was wondering if I could have junctional rythm, or will that go along with the ablation. They reset some of my settings after the proceedure, lower rate twice as it was set to 90 with RR on and it felt like a train thumping through me, down to 70 and no RR. Could this be just my own heart fighting against years of dodgy electrics.
Having swopped Consultants I am in limbo as there hasn't been enough time to get to know each other and I feel in danger of coming across as over reacting.Would so love to have someone spend time and go through everything with me ??? another private consultation looks likely.
Sorry to sound so negative again, so hoped to go back to work next week and say yeh!! feeling brighter and more energetic.

AV NODE ABLATION

I'm waiting for lead healing in preparation for my AV node ablation to fix my SVT and AFib and was wondering if you have any updates on your results. Are you still self-pacing without RR on? Did your EP review the PM data with you to identify whether ECG is normal during episodes?
I've had 3 ablation attempts, each more aggressive then the last but final conclusion was only chance to fix is eliminate AV node and rely on PM. I would really love to hear from you and others as to success or failure and what to expect post procedure.
Really hope you are doing better!

junctional

Junctional can happen at any time and it can be really annoying! I've never had an ablation but it seems like something that major will take more than a week for the heart to settle down and heal.
If they turned rr off and you felt bad on exertion, that might mean rr needs to be turned on again.
It is very frustrating when we don't feel well!!!! But it's perfectly normal to take some time for the heart to heal and adjust, for the doctors to get the settings fine tuned for our needs. Can you be seen sooner than 3 weeks? Sooner the better. Good luck getting it sorted out.
