location of pm

My Consulta crt-p was placed under th epectoral muscles about 8 months ago. It seems to be more superficial than that now at least with the top portion of the device appearing to be more just under the skin than under a muscle. My EP doc was not sure why that was the case and added that rarely thye have to go back and do a reimplant if the superficallly placed prtion get inflammed.

Does anyone have any experience with this or any thought? Thanks .

Sometimes they drift before they settle in. As long as it's not uncomfortable or starts to erode (super close to the surface and inflamed), it's ok to leave it alone. It can take up to a year to settle fully. My first 4 were submammary but in Feb when I got a new one they moved it to subpec. Like yours, it seems to be settling with one edge sticking out. It bugs me, but not enough to have another surgery to move it again. It's more annoying than painful.

Sewed up

My first pm was right under the shin. It moved over to my shoulder .  The surgeon then put it into my pectoral muscle.  He told me it wouldn't move since he had sewed it in.  And it didn't.

stitching

Stitching them in place usually helps, but not always. They can be stitched but still drift.
