Hello,
I had my generator replacement on nov8th 2016. this is my 2nd pacemaker. i wanted to ask after how many days or weeks i can move my left hand to my head. as its been 11 days already and i still cannot reach my head by the left arm. i am moving my left hand daily. i have slowly started to do my chores at home. Should i wait for it to loosen by itself as its just been 11 days or should i try some other ways? i forgot after how many days i had started to move my left hand thoroughly during my 1st pacemker surgery as that was 10 yrs ago.
All your precious feedbacks are warmly welcomed.
Thank you.
Best Regards
I.T

I totally feel for you. I'm 30 years old and just got my second device. It took me a few weeks to get total movement back in my sholders and arm. Just take it slow and you will see good improvements in no time at all!!
Thank you all

As Sparrow said, the arm restrictions are only on first placements, not subsequent surgeries. As long as you didn't get a new lead, the only restriction after a replacement is taking care of the incision. Start some gentle stretches and try to get it moving again. If that doesn't work, ask your doctor about a couple of visits to therapy so they can get you started.
