Replaced lead

I had a PM put in July 2017 due to low heart rate and BP. The first cardiologist injured me and I experienced horrific pain for almost 6 weeks before they realized what was going on. He had punctured a hole in my heart and it was leaking blood around my heart and lungs. I was rushed to ICU and another cardiologist replaced the lead. 

Since then I can still feel like something is poking me in the center of my chest. They had to open me up like open heart surgery but didn’t have to break the sternum. At the end of the scar is where my pain is. I was admitted to hospital with pain again last week. They did a cat scan and x-ray and nothing showed up. I know what I feel but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It is very upsetting. I work cleaning houses and it’s hard work. Most days I do great. But as of late in the evening it hurts to get up after I sat or lay down because I can feel whatever that is. 

I have no idea what to do. I’ll be seeing my cardiologist soon and PCP on Monday.

Pain (where suture line is?)

Dear Judy Brown,

I am so sorry to hear of your ordeal. Having to go through a second surgery must have been very trying for you. I had open heart surgery to repair the mitral valve along with three other repairs. The surgeon had to use the sternum approach. I sometimes get a pinching pain at the very bottom of the suture line. Is this what you are experiencing? Could it be the suture?

With the work you do I feel you are very strong. Good luck!
