mine migrated to Canada at 10 days...I actually felt when it happened.

to you, the procedure will be exactly like the install except a little quicker. All they have to do is reposition the lead.

No one could tell me why the lead was displaced nor did I get any guarantees that it would not happen again.  The monityby my bed never notified anyone of a disturbance.  Now I just hope for the best and get on with my life.

glad it went well and you're back on the road to recovery.

Just like heart disease, it would just be a guessing game what caused to dislodged lead. I read a study a few years ago that showed most dislodged leads were due to the style contact and the skill of the EP installing them. The study also concluded that moving the arm had nothing to do with the problem. My first two devices the EP told me to keep my arm down for 6 weeks and yes a new lead was installed at the second implant. My third device was installed with three new leads by a different EP and he said there were no restrictions including raising my arm. Go figure...

Thanks again. Feel pretty good now.  Just hopping it won’t happen again.  But not going to think that way.

You know you're wired when...

You can feel your fingers and toes again.
