I was off line for a few days, and I was also dismayed at yet another problem going on. I read posts for a long time before joining the club to get information about my pacemaker. I had some unique problems and I was looking for information. Honestly, I hesitated to join, because at the time it seemed like there were a few "popular" members who used this forum to carry on some personal issues that had very little to do with the intent the club was based on. This should not be a chat line for the members to air their personal problems. I have purposely not commented on any of these, but hope each time they will go away. But this morning it was a shame to see in between all the drama, a few new members asking for help, information and support. One post was entitled "I'm scared." This is a person who made a decision to join this club looking for help. My suggestion is that we do just that. Come on fellow pacers- we can do it!

I absolutely agree

I can't imagine anyone saying hurtful things, either on the open forum or in a private message. Not only is it cruel but it accomplishes absolutely nothing!
We should try to stay positive and keep a sense of humor...especially if we disagree with something.
And if we're having a bad day, don't take it out on other members. I personally take it out on my husband as God intended..LOL... (he is reading over my shoulder and says I am speaking the truth).
Anyway, let's start fresh on this January day. I enjoy this forum too much to see it causing sadness for some members.
I wish wellness and good health to you all -

The purpose of the club is allow us to help other recipients. So let's get back to the "business at hand" as Jessie stated above.
Best of health,
Blake

I'm 43 and have had my pacemaker four weeks today. I'm looking forward to living another 50 years and this marvelous device inside me will help me do that.

if you meet someone that you are a close friend of then-emails are not inappropriate. if you meet someone you can trust then private e-mails for personal stuff. yes lets get back to the business at hand. we all need this and to support the new ones who are often very afraid. thanks for saying it. i too may have been guilty of this once or so . jessie
