Finally able to give on here!

Well first I would like to thank everyone who has prayed for my trip and me. I did land myself in the hospital and it was the worse experience ever. I hate pain and usually can handle some chest discomfort but it was way to over powerful for me the other day so I landed myself in the worse ER ever.
I don't believe that I am a person with a attitude but can get one when you sit on a monitor for so long and not having one person walk into the room asking how you are doing. After some time I finally spoke up when I heard the nurse tell the knew nurse that I was not having any chest pain. I told them that I was but clearly they didn't know how to treat me so it was pointless telling them. I called my dr office back at home on my cell phone to see if they could call and tell them that I needed a pm check that I had got near something I probably shouldn't have and it was hurting. As I was talking to the nurse on the phone my nurse comes in and starts yelling at me for calling me medical staff. I got off the phone and told the lady that I had every right to talk to my drs. There was not a cell phone sign anywhere present not to be used. She then said for my age I had a aweful attitude and needed to get over myself. I couldn't believe that. I looked at her and said place yourself in my shoes and then talk. This was a so called nurse.
I called my parents and told them that I had been sitting for over 12 hrs in pain and not getting any treatment or even a glass of water. I decided to check myself out and not waste anymore money. They wouldn't even check out my medical records which my dr had a special note saying what to do if I started to feel weak. Ha and the other funny thing they told me that I was not being paced at all and had no reason to have the pm. Though I have no P Wave.
Well after getting in contact with my drs once I left I did a phone check and was clearly around something I shouldn't have been. Have no idea what it was. I am being paced almost always missing the P Wave b/c I have no SA Node. My syncope was also acting up and the first thing they told me to do is go get a gatorade and drink. After I had that in me and a water I felt so much better. My heart is out of sync a little but as long as I don't let myself get dehydrated I should be fine. What a experience that I never want to face again. Makes me greatful for my dr's back home and knowing that they know my situation so well.
Many love and thoughts to all! I hope that each of you are having a great week and I can't wait to catch up with everybody.

Blessings!

Where were you?

by NH - 2008-03-11 02:03:47

I need to know where you were so I can avoid that area. That was awful treatment and I am sorry you had to go through that. Isn't it just so unfair, that if you are young they think you can't be sick cause you are young. If you're old, they say you are getting old and that is the reason you are sick. If you are fat, they say the fat is causing your sickness and on and on it goes.

"They" can be anyone who doesn't see the big pix and what is really going on with your health.

So sorry this happened to you and hope you are feeling much better.

Take care,
NH
