Normal to feel wires under left clavicle?

4 days post op. Chest sore but improving. Noticing  tugging sensation, pulling sensation under the left clavicle. Can feel wire under the skin both under the clavicle and  under the clavicle superiorly. I assume this is normal routing. Almost feels like someone has their finger on my neck or throat to a certain extent. Not sure if this is normal or something that you get used to. Any thoughts appreciated thanks

Thanks, I am avoiding  manipulating or palpating the pacemaker site at all. still have the Steri-Strips on. Just noticed my clavicle seems somewhat sore although my entire neck, clavicle, chest, shoulders are sore as well. My hope, suspicion is it it’s just part of the process of healing. Didn’t realize that the wires might be running up under the clavicle. Thank you for your response.  I am still in the “new” to the pacemaker placement, anxiety, apprehensive stage and trying to get along with it. Doug

if you think they are to tight tell your doctor and make sure they don't fray on you or pull out of the device, I just had a new set of wires placed in yesterday and the electrophyisolist gave me a restraining belt to wear to keep my left are going above my head because the electrodes in the heart chambers need time to build scar tissue around them to keep them in place. I think they can use extenstions wires tater but they have to cut you open again and shrik wrapping in no biggie to pull them out and use longer wires.

was normal for me

I could easily feel the wires for at least several months.  EP said they would eventually not be felt.  And yes, that's what happened.  I don't remember how long it took.

You know you're wired when...
