trekking in high elevations

Had my pacemaker inserted Feb 2018 and about to trek to Everest Base Camp in Dec 2018.  My cardiologist says I'm good to go but I'm soooo nervous.  Anyone else make this trek and what wonderful information can you offer?

Thanks!!

Elizabeth

altitude with a pacemaker

Thank you so much for making me feel a little bit more at ease.  I do have some experience with altitude having hiked Kilimanjaro and Machu Picchu but they were both before I had my pacemaker so that's why I'm a little nervous.  I think it's more of a pyschological fear that I may have issues in a third world country and half way up to EBC.  I have secured a reputable company (Himalayian Glacier) and porters will be carrying my gear, thank goodness, so I'll just go "pole pole" as they say in Swahili.  :-)
