I wanted to get back to using my treadmill but an concerned about overdoing my exercise routine. First is it safe for me to use a treadmill. Are there any guidelines? I don't intend to run on the treadmill. I have knee replacement so I am limited in that respect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Bob

Not sure what you're asking Bob . Walking on a treadmill is no different to walking anywhere else . As Tracey says there are absolutely no safety issues re the pacemaker ......my only tip ...don't forget to push the " Stop" button when you've had enough : )
By the way, I played golf last week with a friend who has 2 knee replacements and he demonstrated to me how he could still run . I appreciate that this may not necessarily apply to you but I was really impressed by his mobility.

Treadmill

My EP banned me from the gym (and treadmill) for a month after implant but walking was fine the day after. He was worried about over-extending the arm, so no such machines. After the month I went back to 2-1/2 hours a day. No problem.
Weight Training

Before my PM, I was an avid weight trainer, using heavy weights at the age of eighty plus. My cardio doc says no more lifting, but I feel good enough to
resume my training at an easy pace, increasing intensity as I progress.
Are there any members in my age bracket that can share their experience in a similar situation as mine?
As a new member, this is my first post.
I appreciate any responses, thanks.

If your doctor has cleared you to exercise, you can do whatever you feel up to. A treadmill won't interfere with the pacer, if that's what you're asking.
