Does anyone else experience this or does anyone know the cause or could this hurt me...what do i need to do???

Tell your PM doctor

I had a similar complaint once when I rode in the backseat of a truck over very bumpy roads. When I went for interogation and told them this... they said they could turn down a motion sensor (I think that's what they called it) in my pacemaker. I haven't had the problem since.

Anyway, you should push for answers for the head pain/pressure....or for any extreme pain in my opinion. Sometimes we have to be insistent with doctors.

Hope this helps.
Hang in there,

Hello Suze,
I get a very similar sensation you are describing. I've had my PM since May and it seems every time I get in my truck and start to drive (not even over bumpy roads!) I get the sensation of a lump in my throat and I can FEEL something is going on. I also notice at times when I sit in a slightly reclined position. It really bothers me because, although it's not what I would call painful... it's not pleasant.
I also was having pain in the left side of my head. Mine was mostly towards the back. It went away on it's own.
What really intrigues me is the lump feeling in you throat. I started to write down when I get it and what I was doing at them time. I will take that info to my next check-up. You may want to do the same.
I have found (by checking my pulse) that the throat thing seems to happen when my heart feels like it skips a beat (It's called PVC or Premature Ventricular Contraction) - some people feel them in their throat or neck. I am also told they can give you MEDS for that, but I'm not on any. . . yet.
ANYHOW - I would keep a log of when you get these (time of day, what you where doing, what you ate or drank, etc.) and see if there's a pattern more than just going over bumps. And take that info to your Doctor or PM Technician.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW if you get any answers from your medical people that work for your throat thingy and I will do the same. If it bothers you as much as it bothers me, I know how badly you would like to get rid of it!!!
In any event - keep smiling.
DW

My last comment should have been addressed to "emt500april", not "Suze". Guess I should actually DRINK that morning coffee before trying to type comments!

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
