Hi all! I had my dual chamber PM placed on 3/8/19. I’ve felt flutters and even can feel pacing at night. On 3/19/19 I felt my first “bumping, hopping, shocking” type feeling. It takes my breath; no other symptoms. My entire upper body moves. I’ve heard that PMs can’t shock you but that thrust is just what it feels like however is not painful at all. Anyone else experience this? HR is always between 80s-110s. So far there is no pattern. It happens at random times that don’t correlate with auto capturing.

I am no expert, but I believe that without the defibrillator that I have, I would be dead.
Recalibrations?

Each device (and each manufacturer) sets up a series of checks for the device to perform at various times during the day. Sometimes more than once a day. I had issues with a recalibration being performed at 12:30am every night. It took a while to track it down as I felt it most nights but not every night. After weeks of logging the date/time of each incident enough of a pattern showed up. Good luck tracking it down! .
