Martial Arts Training

Any guys out there who were training / competing in Martials (Karate, Kick Boxing and Jujitsu).

I won't be competing again, I am interested in how to modify my training sessions.

Advice has been given to me about avoiding impact to my PM area.

I am 2 days in from receiving my PM so only walking for now.

I'm not a guy nor am I into martial arts but no one else has jumped in and I have worked out hard for a lot of years while also being paced. You should be able to do whatever you want, as long as you aren't risking a direct hit to the box. Push ups, pull ups, weights, yoga- it's all fine once you are cleared for activity again. Even a hit to the box won't damage it. It's titanium so you won't hurt it. We, however, aren't so tough. I've had two hard direct hits, one that left a giant bruise right over the device, and once I caught the edge while scaling a wall in a Spartan race. Ouch, but the pacer is fine.

You know you're wired when...

Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
