Has anybody had any problems with their pacemakers whilst using a flymo lawnmower?.It would have been the 1st time i had mowed the lawn after having a pacemaker fitted some 5 weeks ago and i could have sworn that i was getting a sort of extreme pins and needles sensation and the pacemaker seemed to be a lot more prominent at the site.Anyone any ideas?

That thing is bizare! I highly doubt it would be a problem but my EP has banned me from using my lawn tractor. I can use other tools as long as I'm careful to keep them away from the pacemaker but the tractor is a no-no. I have to hire the job out (not that I'm too upset about it).

I am just guessing, AgentX86, but is no to riding lawn tractor because you are sitting on battery? I have wondered about that - last summer I did use lawn tractor - at first I was a little concerned about it and tried to find, somewhere out there in the invisible world, whether this was a No No or not. My questions came back with nothing. So, I cut the grass all summer and made it. If you have the real answer and a good excuse for not riding that beast I would be happy to hear it. 🌹

Not the battery, rather the alternator. AC magnetic fields are a no-no. Cars aren't so much of a problem because you're further from them and they're designed better. Who knows what stray fields are around cheap Chinese knockoff alternators.

I have never even seen a flymo lawnmower! I had to google it!!
I would suggest you contact Medtronic and see what they say. I will be checking in and very interested in what they might tell you.
The Flymo lawnmower is pretty cool for sure!
