What kind of wood spitting?

What kind of wood splitting?  Sledge and wedge, power splitting with a power splitter, single bitted ax, double bitted ax?  Each requires a different skill set and diffierent muscles.  How much lifting and what sized pieces.  

Main thing is not to push it and cause the scar to be pulled open.  Then you've really got problems.  Same for lifting pieces.  How much and for how long.  

I'd really take it easy until the implant scar and underlying tissue has healed completely.  That's six to nine months.

I'd not be doing either at eight weeks. They recommend six months for a full golf swing. An axe is even more stress on the shoulder (and leads).

Who recommends 6 months ????

In case there are any recently-implanted golfers reading this , the longest recommended wait post-implant which I've read on here is 3 months and I believe that is being ultra-cautious !

I was playing with a  full swing at 8 weeks . My E.P. is a keen golfer himself  and  that was his recommendation. I don't know of any golfer who  would wait 6 months to do a full swing.

My EP. No extreme extension ("e.g. golf swing") for six months.

The bottom line is that your cardiologist  or EP is the one to ask. Not some French model guy on the Internet.

Gday all

Day 7 for me after Grade 3 total heart block emergency implant which I'm now calling my Turbocharger. I'm joining my mates at the Golf Club today but with only a small swing arc will have to content myself with honing my short game for the next few weeks. That's not a bad thing though. We have a saying "Drive for show. Chip and putt for dough." Somehow I sense that it'll take a few weeks to regain my full swing but I very much doubt that it'll take 6 months.
