What the hell are you asking?

Gasp

Warren, I know exactly what you are saying.  Mine started 2 days after getting Pacemaker and now 19 months later it is still with me, not as hard but there.  I don’t understand why doctors can’t just explain what is going on, instead of looking at you like they don’t understand what you are saying.  Several people have complained on here about it - you should be able to find lots of stories.  Have you asked your doctor?

Questions for you

Can you tell us more about the "jump or gasp?"

I have experienced palpitations that would cause an involuntary gasp, but nothing I would describe as a jump. What is it that you feel "jump?"

As for the discomfort lying on your side, that's pretty common. Soime people find an arrangement of small pillows that helps you find a postition you can rest in. It can take several months for sleeping on your side to be completely comfortable again.
