Battery Protruding

It does take more than a month to settle down. Scar tissue has to form, near to maximal strength at 6 weeks, and over 6 months there starts to be some contraction of the scar tissue ( that which you can see and not see) until the would starts to fade to white.
My battery still protrudes after 10 years. It depends on how much fat you have and placement of the box.

At a minimum, get a picture of your device scar and "battery" protrusion and send it right away to your heart doctor or physician's assistant. If you can't get the picture to them, call them and get in to their office so they can see what you are experiencing. The new device (it's not just a new battery you got, but a new pacemaker or ICD) should not migrate to the surface- if it does, this is very bad since it could externalize which will lead to infection, a serious complication. Good luck!
You know you're wired when...
You prefer rechargeable batteries.

We are very lucky to have these devices.
Two years?

It's surprising that your battery needed replacement at two years (or close, since they were in there). Perhaps they used a PM with a larger battery?
Anyway, a month isn't a long time. Give it some more time to settle out. Mine was very sensitive to the touch for a good eight or nine months. It still hurts at times.
