Hello everyone and thank you for me being able to join this forum. I am a Dane and lives in Denmark
I might get a PM within the next year or so, and need to get a PM suited for scuba divers set to min.5 ATA equal to 40 meters. Anyone know about a brand? I understand St. Jude have one. Let me know of your experience
thank you

thank you for your response. What are the specific name and number of your brand?

Mine is St Judes, now owned by Abbott Labs. It says model 2240 on the id card, which I believe is Assurity Most of them are fine for recreational diving, ask your doctor. There are other things that are more important in choosing which device is right for you so start with the one the doctor thinks is the best choice and ask how deep that one can go.
Hiss ablation and PM

I will probably be scheduled to a Hiss ablation and a Abbot PM. Do any of you need medication for AFLA thereafter? And what type, if any medicine, is probably needed?

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.

This is a discussion to have with your surgeon. My St Judes is good to 7atm which is 198 feet in saltwater, so more than adequate for recreational diving. I don't know if all SJM are rated the same.
