I got my PM in February and went skiing 2 months later in April.  I was with my kids so I wasn’t doing anything crazy and I’m a good skier who knows my limits.  Took it easy but no problems.  Plan to ski this winter without any hesitation.

no problem

cant see what one thing has to do with the other.  No reason why you should have restrictions.  Let the thing heal for some number of weeks/months in case you take a fall, want the site sealed up and healing...

First time I met my current EP, we spent as much time debating CO vs UT skiing as we did discussing my heart. As long as you are otherwise healthy and cleared for activity, you can do what you want.

Sking

I hadn't skied in years because of financial restrictions, no equipment, time, etc. so I last skied in 1998.  I received my PM Feb. 28, 2011.  I had entered a contest through our local radio station and won a family of four ski day.  I offered it to my son, his wife and two kids, but when we got there, my daughter-in-law insisted that because I won the package I should go skiing with my grandsons and son.  I was hesitant at first, because I had not skied in 15 years, and I was then in my mid 50's.  All I could think about was falling and breaking something, I didn't once think of my pacemeaker.  Once I was on the hills and enjoying myself immensely, I then thought "if you fall, just don't onto the pacemaker side",  LOL!  It took me a good year to come to terms with having a PM, after a major car accident, but it hasn't stopped me from anything I want to do.  The only thing that does, is your brain.  Get out there and live your life.  Enjoy all sports.
